New-Yorker Battery Dance Company in tour in Algeria

The New Yorker Company Battery Dance is in tour in Algeria, cultural office of the US embassy to Algiers announced Thursday.

The US company performed in Annaba (October 8), in El Eulma (October 9), then will perform in Algiers on October 10. It will be accompanied by the Culture and Information National Office ballet, the same source added.

The tour is part of the cultural cooperation between the ONCI and the US embassy in Algiers, Cultural office said.

New-Yorker company dancers will supervise master classes for ONCI ballet dancers. Battery Dance Company is based in Manhattan, known for its artistic excellence on stage, is celebrating its 35 anniversary.

The company has already performed in many the Middle East and North African countries.
