Algiers agreement and its decisions that came out in last September did not fail, as promoted by some, Energy Minister, Noureddine Bouterfa told Echorouk, on the sidelines of the government meeting with governors in Algiers.

“Number of countries that are active in OPEC support Algeria’s positions, which will be applied, starting from January 2017”.

“I met with the Saudi Oil Minister, Khaled al-Faleh, in Algiers, two days ago, and we discussed the issue of organizing the production, to ensure price stability, after OPEC meeting that will be held by the end of current November”.

“Algiers and Riyadh share the same attitudes and positions. Algeria has called for a meeting of oil experts from the organization, on November 21, before the formal meeting, to draw a new quota system parameters, which would reduce whereby the production to less than 750.000 barrels a day, from a total of 33.5 million barrels”.

Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, is paying a four day visit to Saudi Arabia, in the framework of the meeting of the Algeria-Saudi Business Council, and which is certain is that Sellal will open the debate on the oil crisis.
