A scientific expertise report issued from an official authority showed that there are resemblances between her fingerprints and her Algerian father’s.

French Jacques Scharbook claimed he is Safia’s father while the Algerian Mohamed Youcefi and her mother’s family living in Algeria say the girl belongs to them.

Lawyer Rabeh Berbadj says this information confirm that the girl is Algerian and Muslim.

Safia is likely to join her grandmother in the province of Oran (west of Algiers) whom whereabouts are unknown after security forces had taken Safia from her.

Earlier, Safia’s family told Echorouk Sharbook pretended he had concerted into Islam and cheated justice by changing his name to Farouk Sharbook. On the other hand, a document from Algerian religious affairs ministry shows that he has never converted into Islam and he does not have any child with his first wife after 20 years of marriage.
