Olympiakos to offer contract extension to Algeria ace Djebbour
Djebbour a key player for Olympiakos
Greek Superleague leader Olympiakos FC will do their best to retain Algeria striker Rafik Djebbour next season.
- Djebbour has joined last January Olympiakos for 6 month-loan from AEK Athens, with an option of three year extension.
- “Djebbour is a key player, and his role in our good performances this season is so obvious; he’s an efficient striker indeed,” Olympiakos manager Ernesto Velverdi told Eurosport.
- “The club wants to sign him a long term contract as by next June, because he is an important player for us” Velverdi added.
- Djebbour 28, has managed scoring 6 goals in 8 appearances with Olympiakos. The next season’s Champions League participation is a highly attractive challenge to the Algerian ace with Greek champion.
- However, Turkish Kayserispor was reported ready to make an interesting offer to sign Djebbour.
