One killed and four injured in a military operation

One serviceman was killed and four others were injured at the explosion of a handmade bomb in the mountainous region of “ Ammal” in the southern province of Boumerdes, 70 Kms east of Algiers.

• The bomb blew off the day before yesterday at around 09.30 p.m when the national popular army forces were carrying out a combing operation following intelligence that a terrorist group was operating in the area.

• In an attempt to stop the military progression, the terrorists have set a homemade bombe that they exploded causing the death of a soldier and the injury of others who were evacuated to the military hospital here in Algiers.
