Ousseimi Foundation Tolerance Prize awarded posthumously to Emir Abd El-Kader

GENEVA – Ousseimi Foundation Tolerance Prize has been awarded posthumously in Geneva to Emir Abd El-Kader.

Algeria ambassador, permanent representative to Geneva, Idriss Jazairi delivered a speech in which he recalled that “Emir Abd El-Kader Al Jazairi is the founder of the Algerian Contemporary State, a chivalrous resistant to the colonial invasion but also a faithful, a Sufi, a poet and a determined defender, before time, of the humanitarian right and human rights.” Jazairi has also said that “for being the first to affirm the universal values- often associated to Western civilization- the Emir is today receiving renewed testimonies.”
