Ouyahia warns against foreign debts
Secretary General of Algeria’s RND party Ahmed Ouyahia Friday said some people exploit the Algerian passport and banking accounts for their interest.
“Some people possess properties here and abroad. They use Algeria as a source to get a passport. They also have banking accounts,” Ouyahia said in a conference in Algiers.
He warned against the exploitation of economic situation in Algeria as the Treasury lost 70 percent of its incomes. “There is an attempt to fuel social situation and shake the country’s stability.”
He called on young people to be vigilant and expressed fears of the Arab Spring mess.
He also warned against foreign debts, asking “do we want to stop development process by borrowing money?”
He hailed President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s role in saving Algeria from debts.
