Over 950,000 Algerians spent their holidays in Tunisia

Algerian market is a promising space for both Tunisia and Tunisian investors, due to many factors that make of Algeria one of the most important poles and parties which Tunisia will depend upon in the future, Manager of the Tunisian business mission in Algeria, Riad Belzergua, told Echorouk in an interview, on the sidelines of the Algerian Tunisian professionals’ symposium that was held in Oran, western Algeria, and that was attended by 30 Tunisian institutions that are active in the field of building, construction materials and architecture.

“Algerian investment climate is very important, as the number of Tunisian companies and institutions that are present in Algeria reached over 200 companies that are active in various areas, a figure that is expected to rise reaching up to 400 companies in the future, a challenge that they want to realize through holding such symposiums to introduce the Tunisian companies to sign partnership agreement contracts between the two countries”.
“There are future programs to open mixed clinics for plastic surgery in Algeria. Investment basis 49-51 remains the only obstacle that raises fears of Tunisian investors”.
Representative and assistant in the Tunisian National Tourism Office, Lyes Mouslem, said the number of Algerian tourists who visited Tunisia this year for holidays reached 950,000 tourists by the end of last September, as the number is expected to exceed one million tourists by the end of current October, making of Tunisia the first destination for Algerians.
“This index is very important, and tourism facilities and stimulus that are provided for Algerians by Tunisia, including abolition of taxation on Algerians only and that is estimated to 30 Tunisian Dinars, which is equivalent to 2,100 ZDZ. A decision that was issued at the beginning of current October.”
