Palestinian Ambassador Louai Aissa: “Oil crisis is a ploy targeting Algeria due to its steadfast support for Palestine”

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Algiers Louai Aïssa praised the efforts of Algeria and its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.

He argued that it is because of this  pro-Palestine steadfast position that the acute oil crisis  has targeted Algeria, thus affecting its economy, stressing that this contingency is no accident especially after the statements of backing from President Abdellaziz Bouteflika who reiterated that Algeria has always supported Palestine and will continue to do so and is even ready to pay the price for its clear-cut support.

He further underlined that  the State of Palestine is grateful to Algeria for its all-out support, as Algeria doesn’t miss any opportunity to reaffirm its entire backing for the Palestinian cause which is still in the hearts of Algerians and constitutes the second stage of the glorious Algerian Revolution, as he put it.

The senior Palestinian diplomat highlighted the important fact that the Palestinian cause is the major concern of Arab countries facing attempts to sow discord and division which serve neither these countries nor the Palestinian cause, while stressing that the fidelity of Algeria towards Palestine is permanent in an Arab world jolted by numerous conflicts such as in Syria, Iraq and in other countries.

Moreover, he evoked the developments of the Palestinian issue and the challenges facing the Palestinian leadership in particular the wanton violations of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people by the Israeli occupation forces, their regular acts of aggression against the holy places and its creeping Judaization attempts at occupied El Qods or Jerusalem.

In this context, Mr Louai Aissa stated that a settlement of the Palestinian issue will be tantamount to a solution to all conflicts in the Middle East, even if the Arab world failed, stressing that the Palestinians today live a new stage in their legitimate struggle against the brutal Israeli occupation.
