The Minister of Industry and Mines, Abdeslem Bouchouareb

The Minister of Industry and Mines, Abdeslem Bouchouareb, dismissed the charges against him contained in the revelations of “Panama Papers” on capital flight and tax evasion abroad under cover of front companies based in Panama and Luxembourg.

Mr Bouchouareb said that he would take all necessary measures and submit a detailed report to the President of the Republic to this effect and to inform him of the conspiracy hatched by shadowy quarters abroad against him and the country’s institutions.

It was during a debate with members of the National People’s Assembly’s Economic Commission on the draft investment law, that the MPs prompted the Minister of Industry to give explanations about the case.

Moreover, the latter flatly denied the charges against him, according to the leaks revealed by our newspaper and the French who will come shortly to Algeria with visiting Prime Minister Valls have a connection with the case.

Moreover, when he came out of the Assembly’s hall, the Industry and Mines minister refused to make any statement to the press.
