Paulo Fuertes to Echorouk: “I think the match Algeria vs. England will finish without a winner

FC Porto star Paulo Fuertes said Algerian team wasted an easy win before Slovenia, asserting in remarks for Echorouk that Rabah Saadane’s men were victims of nerve when entering the match, as they sought victory at any price, which cost them a killing and naive goal.

• Former Portuguese team player Paulo Fuertes asserted that Algeria’s team faced a loss just like any other large team at the beginning of the World Cup, as they begin a good start but collided by the reality of the opponent.

• “Algerian team has good players including Nadir Belhadj and Karim Ziani. The defence line is strong despite the Slovenian goal after an error by goalkeeper Chaouchi. You can not receive a goal in such a way at the last moments, the putt was weak and the defence did not observe the Slovenian player and block the goalkeeper’s vision, thus he made a wrong assessment of the ball track”.

Algeria’s team deserves qualification since it showed a good level in the first match, despite that Rooney’s teammates are strong and Capello is skilled and clever. I expect the match Algerian vs. England will finish without a winner, as both teams wait for the third match in order to reach the second round because each team desires to correct errors that occurred in the first match. I did not like the English performance because they played nervously just like Algerian players”.
