PM affirms State's determination to curb housing crisis

ALGIERS- Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia affirmed Wednesday here the State's determination to pursue efforts to curb housing crisis by building more housing units in all regions of the country, including in rural areas.

In reply to questions of the members of the Council of Nation on the Government’s general policy statement, Ouyahia underlined that the State attaches great importance to the sector of housing, considering the achievements made in this field with the construction of over 2 millions housing units from 1999 to 2009.

“No one can ignore the efforts made by the State with the construction of 1.160 million units during the 2005-2009 and 2 million units from 1999 and 2009,” added Ouyahia.
