PM Ouyahia Solves Tebboune's Conflict With businessmen, Syndicates
Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia, called on the economic and social partners for a meeting on Wednesday, August 23, without setting an agenda for the meeting.
According to Echorouk sources, the tripartite meeting and the next social entry, and even the economic situation of the country will be the most important files to open for discussion.
This meeting is considered one of Ouyahia’s first activities after taking over the affairs of the management of Dr. Saadane Palace, replacing Abdelmadjid Tabboune.
In his first appearance after his inauguration as Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia was keen to “restore” the government’s relationship with businessmen and the syndicates, and to smooth the atmosphere that was strained during the reign of Abdelmadjid Tabboune, which precipitated his departure from office.
In this regard, the head of the Algerian Confederation of Employers, Boualem Marakchi, revealed in a statement to Echorouk that he received on Saturday a phone call from the Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia, in order to call him for a meeting that is held next Wednesday, to discuss several files.
Marakchi added that Ouyahia did not tell him about the agenda of the meeting, but the economic and social situation of the country will be at the top of the files, especially as Algeria is about to hold a tripartite meeting and social entry next September.
“New government that is headed by Ouyahia has its vision and directions, and we hope that the head of the new executive body will adopt a dialogue policy with partners” .
“We all know that the economic situation of the country is difficult, and all parties should seriously engage in order to overcome the danger stage, in a way that is far from the chock”.
Echorouk learned that Ouyahia directed the same invitation to all the social and economic partners, led by the General-Secretary of the General Federation of Algerian Workers, Abdelmadjid Sidi Said, and the President of the Forum of Heads of Enterprises, Ali Haddad.
Previous government that is headed by Abdelmadjid Tabboune set the date of Sept. 23, for the tripartite contract in the state of Ghardaia, Southern Algeria, and it is not yet known whether Tebboune’s government would maintain the same date, or if it will make adjustments to the place and time.
Relationship between the government, the Patrona and the syndicate has never been as tense as it notices during the previous government of Abdelmadjid Tabboune, which lasted only 84 days.
