Political analysts believe that the French escalation toward Algeria in the recent times aims to pressurize Algeria, and revenge the economic failure of the French delegation in its last visit to Algeria, when Manuel Valls failed to return to his country accompanied by deals for French businessmen.

To this end, Paris is seeking to pressurize Algeria with other files that were not confined to the provocation of the French media on the Algerian state institutions, but though digging in the old files, like the case of Tibhirine monks, which is returning back to the interface through programming a visit by a delegation of 200 people to city of Medea (southern Algiers).

Political analyst, Ahmad Athimi, said that Paris raised the severity of exerting pressure on Algeria, and is sending explicit references in which it criticized the country’s institutions, the political situation, and the evidence is the image which was published by the French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, on his Twitter and which is currently used in France.

“France becomes alarmed by the political situation in Algeria, and it is a French will to pressurize on officials, especially since the visit of the French delegation was not at the desired level economically.”

Concerning what was revealed by French media, on Thursday, about a secret visit of about two hundred people to “Tibhirine”, for praying for mercy for the souls of the seven monks, who were killed in the spring of 1996, he said: “If the aim of the visit is to pray for mercy on the monks’ souls, then it is normal, but if it is carrying the message of scavenging in the past and raising doubts about the investigations, then this causes concern, especially if there were political parties and civil society behind the visit.”

For his part analyst, Ismail Maaraf said that the recent visit of the French Prime Minister, will be a turning point in the French-Algerian relationships, given that the latter does not accept the economic parity with Algeria, as the French businessmen believe that it is their right to nail the projects which they want, given that they are used to this logic.
