Population Protest Against African Immigrants Southern Algeria

Ouargla Province (Southern Algeria), woke up on Wednesday morning, on a heinous crime against a young man, 26, called “B.A”, who received fatal stabs in the heart and chin level by a Nigerian national, 22, after he tried to rob a house in the same area.

According to witnesses, the victim died while being taken to Mohamed Boudiaf Hospital in Ouergla.

Incident details, which is the first of its kind in a reserved province, occurred at 11:00 am, when the offender, who is arrested by police, broke through one of the houses, but a woman who lives in saw him and asked help from one of the region’s youth, and the victim rushes towards the neighbour’s house to arrest the offender, who killed him with fatal stabs in different organs of the body, then stole the victim’s mobile phone and fled, leaving him flopping in his blood.

African offender tun for 12 km toward an unknown destination in the area of Thamendil, while police cordoned off the region at a great distance, which enabled them to arrest the perpetrator who acknowledged his criminal act and possession of the crime’s knife, and four mobile phones, including the woman’s mobile, in addition to the presence of blood on his shoes and clothes.

Eyewitnesses, the African criminal exploits the absence of the woman’s husband to infiltrate the house, and jumps out of the window to steal some stuff, then the victim entered into the room to arrest him, after he closed the door, then the offender rushed to take a knife white and sent him deep stabs that led to the occurrence of severe bleeding, and then he died.

After this incident, over 300 citizens of the same area went to the center of harbouring African immigrants that is located in Said zone, and tried to set fire inside, before they attacked three African nationals, one of them is seriously wounded, and received treatment at the city’s hospital, then they cut off the main road to protest against the heinous crime against a young man, who tried to save a woman.

Previously, police services intervened in huge numbers to protect Africans’ Center, and calm down the residents who demanded the deportation of Africans because of their shameful behaviours.

Chairman of the security of Ouargla Province, said at a press conference that was held on Wednesday, at the police headquarters, and that his services were able to arrest the criminal in a record time, after a tight security scheme, through gathering evidence at the crime scene that show that the Nigerian youth carried out the crime, noting that he is expected to be brought in front of the public prosecutor at the Court of Ouargla.
