Portuguese Benfica FC accuse Brahimi of violence

Portugal’s Benfica FC asked the Portuguese Football Federation to dismiss Algerian star Yacine Brahimi who plays with Porto, a Portuguese newspaper reported.

Portugal’s champion insists on dimissing Brahimi, saying he had to be kicked out in a previous match against Sporting Braga.

Benfica FC considered that Brahimi was violent with a player of Sporting Braga and was not noticed by the referee.

Benfica FC want to deprive their traditional adversary of an important player. All it seems that an indirect war between the two Portuguese football giants started early this season. They are supposed to play against each other in December.

Benfica FC ranks third in the Liga with 10 points from 3 victories and a draw. 

Brahimi played in 4 matches during the current season. He scored a goal while he had played in 120 games with Porto and scored 30 goals.
