Portuguese Foreign Minister in Algiers Sunday

ALGIERS- Portugal's Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs Luis Filipe Marques Amado is to start Sunday a two-day working visit to Algeria, at the invitation of Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci.

The visit comes as part of the treaty of friendship, good neighbourliness and cooperation, concluded between the two countries on 8 January 2005, and of dialogue and political consultation, according to a Foreign Ministry’s statement.

The Foreign ministers of the two countries are due to assess the progress in implementation of the commitments made at the third Algerian-Portuguese high- level meeting in Lisbon on 8 and 9 November 2010.
