Preliminary investigations show that military aircraft crash caused by technical failure

The province of was on extreme alert Sunday as a military aircraft crashed in the area of Regan following a technical breakdown. A total of 12 soldiers who were assigned to keep watch on Algerian borders were killed in the crash. Two others were transferred to Ain Naadja Military Hospital in Algiers. General Ahmed Gaid Saleh, the national defence vice minister ordered to form an investigation commission and a crisis cell, Echorouk has learnt.
The aircraft pilot tried an emergency landing but he failed. Two commissions were established to investigate in the accident. They include air forces experts.
Investigations show that one of the main reasons behind the crash is a technical failure in the engine.
