President Abdelaziz Bouteflika congratulates US President-elect Donald Trump

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, has congratulated Donald J. Trump for his election as 45th US President, bringing into focus the high quality of the friendly relations and cooperation ties between the two nations.

“The American people, through the presidential election of 8th November 2016, have given you their votes to become their President,” the head of State wrote in his congratulatory message.

“Following your brilliant election victory, it’s a pleasure to extend to you, on behalf of the Algerian people and government as well as in my own name, our warmest and heartiest congratulations, along with my sincere wishes for your success in fulfilling your noble mission, in the service of your great nation.”

“The confidence placed in you does show recognition of your ability to put your commitment, your energy and your talent at the service of the American people, our friends, who aspire to more progress, more justice and well-being, in respect of the values that distinguish your noble Nation,” President Bouteflika underscored.

The head of State added that Trump’s brilliant election and the United States’ big influence worldwide will lead the world to expect from the US president-elect to play a major role in restoring international peace and security, establishing dialogue, fostering understanding among peoples and boosting international cooperation.
