President Bouteflika reaffirms need to preserve citizens' purchasing power

ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika has reaffirmed Thursday the need to preserve the purchasing power of citizens through the strengthening of market regulation mechanisms face to price fluctuations.

“This fundamental question should be addressed in line with the decisions made last year and early this year,” the Head of State said during the Cabinet meeting.

In this respect, President Bouteflika called on the Government “to extend the measure taken for the stabilisation of the prices of consumer products (wheat, milk, sugar and cooking oil) to pulses.”
