President Bouteflika summons a cabinet meeting for next Monday

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdellaziz Bouteflika, has summoned the members of government for a meeting of the council of ministers for next Monday in Algiers. The decriminalization of press offenses, the decriminalization of the management act as well as the adoption of the supplementary law of finance will be high on the agenda of the upcoming cabinet meeting.

• The council of ministers’ planned meeting will be devoted to the study of those amendments introduced by the justice ministry to the penal code with a view to decriminalizing the press offense here in our country.

• In addition, the council will also examine the adoption of the supplementary draft finance law in order to unlock financial packages aimed at covering the salary hikes and the indemnity regimes in several sectors of activity.

• The decriminalization of the management act in national enterprises, all sectors taken together, will also be reviewed by the forthcoming cabinet meeting.

• Government sources told “Echorouk” that next Monday’s cabinet meeting would be the first stage in the speedy implementation of all the reforms at manifold levels decided of late by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdellaziz Bouteflika.
