President Bouteflika urges teachers and researchers to develop syllabuses

OUARGLA (Algeria)- President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Wednesday has urged the teachers and researchers to develop the scientific and research capacities, modernize syllabuses and adapt the teaching methods so as to progressively improve teaching level and bring it in line with the standard of the world's leading universities.

In a speech delivered at the official opening of the 2010-2011 academic year at Kasdi Merbah University of Ouargla (800-km west of Algiers, President Bouteflika underlined that the unprecedented incentive measures taken constitute “a break with the vision that prevailed in the recent past, and a qualitative leap that enables teachers and researchers enjoy a status commensurate with their important role.”
