Protest movement: Two dead, 300 injured across Algeria

ALGIERS- Two people were killed in the riots occurred across the country since Thursday, Interior Minister Daho Ould Kablia said Saturday.

“The first dead is a young man who was shot dead when he tried to intrude into a police station in Ain Lahdjel locality, in the province of M’sila (248km south of Algiers),” Ould Kablia told National Radio channel III.

“A second man was dead recorded in the city of Bousmaïl in Tipasa. He died in hospital from injuries,” he said, adding that “the conditions of his death remain unclear.

“Acts of violence have also made 320 casualties among the security forces, including police and the Nationale Gendarmerie, and less than a hundred among young people,” the minister said.
