Raffarin and French trade minister to visit Algeria

France's Foreign Trade Minister Pierre Lellouche will accompany former French prime minister and President Sarkozy’s advisor Jean-Pierre Raffarin on a two-day visit to Algiers starting from May 30th as part of economic relationships between the two countries, Algerian news agency (APS) reported on Saturday.
- Two partnership agreements will be signed between French and Algerian companies in insurances and glass production fields.
- Those agreements were approved as part of 12 dossiers supervised by the Algerian industry minister Mohamed Ben Meradi. They deal with investments in Algeria including the Renault Group (cars), Saint-Gobain Glass, Cristal Union, Sanofi-aventis (chemistry) and Lafarge (cement).
- The French delegation, Ben Meradi and the trade minister Mustapha Ben Bada will inaugurate partnership forum between France and Algeria. More than 540 Algeriana nd French small and medium-sized companies will attend it.
- Three new partnership projects in media and communication technologies will be presented in a working séance with the Algerian post minister Moussa Ben Hamadi. An agreement between Alcatel-Lucent and the electronic park of Sidi Abdellah is expected to be signed about fourth-generation (4G) licence.
