Registration Period In French Language Proficiency Test Is Extended To November 9
French-Algerian Cultural Center extended the registration period for the French language proficiency test to another week due to the high demand.
It decided to close the registrations on November 9, while the first three days registered 2,600 Algerian candidates.
According to statistics that were published by the French Cultural Center on its official “Twitter”, the number of registered on October 30 reached about 1000 registered, and this after the organization of the registration process with alphabetical naming, while the third day of the process noticed about 900 candidates from the students whose names begun with the letters “FGHIJK”, and the first day that witnessed chaos and protests noticed the registration of about 700 candidates, before closing the registration and reorganization of the test in stages because of the large number of students who closed the street adjacent to the French Cultural Center.
The registration process for the French language proficiency test will continue according to the calendar that was set by the French Center until Thursday evening, November 9, and applicants are expected to attract more than 10,000 candidates for the test, which is a prerequisite for students to obtain a study permit at a French universities, in addition of obtaining a visa to study there, as the students who are concerned will pay 10.000 DZD to sitting for an exam, while the result is not guaranteed 100%, because success is determined based on the answers that are provided by the student and the points that he/she will obtain.
The visa is also linked to other standards, but most of the students who came from the inner states and even from the capital have the trouble of traveling and consider that the attempt is better than nothing and they must take any opportunity they find suitable to achieve their goals and aspirations.
In view of this year’s increasing demand, the Center’s administration decided to extend the registration process for a week, with the date of Sunday (November 5th) is fixed for students who begin with the letter “A”, Monday for “B”, Tuesday November 7 for “CDEFGH”, Wednesday for “IJKLM” and the closing will be on Thursday with “N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z”.
