Relative retirement for voluntary fighters during Algeria’s national tragedy
Members of the National Popular Army who voluntarily fought terrorism in the 1990’s will benefit from relative retirement allowance paid by the State’s Treasury starting from next year.
The government took a new measure as part of the next year’s finance draft law to give exceptional relative retirement right to voluntary people who fought terrorism after 1992.
The draft law was transmitted to Parliament early this week as the government received complaints from hundreds of people who voluntarily fought terrorism along with the army. They said they are excluded and their efforts were not recognized as part of the Charter for Peace and the National Reconciliation.
This comes as the government decided a series of measures in favor of people who participated with security forces to fight terrorism including mobilization agents and municipal guards.
