Rioters destroy schools, banks, post offices in Bechar, Aflou, Mascara
Riots took place on Friday in the province of Bechar (south of Algiers) destroying several public facilities and wounding 30 policemen.

Protests started at around 7 p.m. Hundreds of people took to the street including minors and adolescents and set fire at a post office, Sonelgaz Agency and the cultural centre. All the files, computers and other equipments were destroyed.
Protestors tried to attack a police station but security forces stopped and dispersed them. A bank in the area of Debdaba was and a policeman’s house was destroyed. A total of 30 policemen were wounded.
In the province of Mascara (west of Algiers), riots took place once again on Saturday. Protesters threw stones and battles on policemen who surrounded the area. Many private properties were destroyed. About 20 people including minors were arrested.
In the province of Aflou (west of Algiers), rioters destroyed public institutions, burnt three post offices and stole all the equipments including computers.
They also destroyed a gas station and took more than butane gas bottles.
Violent acts in the province of Tissimssilt (west of Algiers) caused injuries and losses at many public facilities including a post office and the headoffice of mines and industry department.
