Sabssi-Bouteflika

Tunisian President Baji Kaid Sabssi addressed a message to his Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika to suggest the reactivation of the Maghrebin Union, the Arab League and the African Union.

Tunisian foreign minister Khamis Djhinaoui Sunday said he conveyed a written letter to President Bouteflika from his counterpart about the situation in the Arab Maghreb.

“I conveyed a written letter from President Baji Kaid Sabssi to President Bouteflika about the situation in the Arab Maghreb,” Djhinaoui told journalists in Algiers.

“My meeting with President Bouteflika enabled me to listen to his analysis of the situation in the Arab Maghreb and World and the necessity to reactivate the performance of the Maghrebin Union, the Arab League and the African Union,” he added.

He believes that the two countries share almost the same visions and positions about those issues, saying President Bouteflika, in his turn, addressed a letter to his Tunisian counterpart.

President Bouteflika expressed, in the letter, Algeria’s will to support and diversify its relations with Tunisia.
