Sandstorm forces pilot to make an emergency landing in southern Algeria
An Algerian flight company’s plane with 76 passengers on board, mostly employees of the hydrocarbons company “Sonatrachâ€, has mad an emergency landing yesterday at Krim belkacem international airport, in Hassi Messouad ( southern Algeria).

The “Boing” was gliding in the air between Ain Amenass airport and Hassi Messaoud for more than three hours spreading panic among the 76 passengers that were heading for Ain Amenass from Oran returning from their monthly vacation.

According to witnesses, the flight crew couldn’t land with the plane on the tarmac because of a sandstorm that forced them to shift their direction to Hassi Messaoud airport avoiding thus a real catastrophe if not the vigilance of the pilot.
