School Start 2014/2015: No scandalous cloths, easing bags' weight and dialogue with syndicates

Over Eight million and 6000 pupils of the three phases join schools here on Sunday in Algeria, as they will be be received in new educational institutions, including 249 elementary schools, 99 Middle schools, 125 new secondary schools and 10 secondary schools that will compensate others that are old.

School start 2014/2015 noticed an increase in the number of pupils, which reaches 2.26%.
This year’s school start is exceptional in all respects because for the first time since the eighties a woman is appointed Minister of Education in Algeria and will lead the sector that comprises the largest segment of employees across the country, but Nouria Benghabrit collided with an unexpected controversy, and soon appeared the real problems of the most important sector in Algeria, because the social partners united days before the school start, and brought back a list of outstanding claims from the era of Ben Bouzid and Baba-Ahmed.
Some observers predicted her inability to contain the hot spots in the sector, but  the minister opened the doors of dialogue widely for the various syndicates and associations of parents of students, and even the new syndicates in the sector, unlike the former Mnister Baba Ahmed, who has not encouraged dialogue, and Ben Bouzid, who ended his career with the language of threats and intimidation.
Benghabrit was able, only a few hours before the school start to contain the biggest problem that is threatening the stability of the sector, which is the employees of the demise, as she confirmed that they will reintegrated next October, and reconsidered, in a matter of a week only, the opening lesson on natural disasters which caused controversy, and replaced it with another lesson about the national unity. She and ordered to ease the weight of the school bag and prevent school dropout, then she was courageous in imposing the decision to respect the educational institutions, by preventing wearing short clothes and make up, hair and high heels for girls, and shorts, torn jeans, “bearish” for boys, a decision that was supported by the educational family, in light of encouraging some Algerian families and their kids to wear scandalous cloths, reaching the degree of threatening teachers who are interfering in the peculiarities of their kids, and the best example is a teacher in a middle school in Ain Defla, who was provoked by a scandalous wearing of a group of pupils, then she asked them to wear demure cloths, and why not put the veil, then parents get enraged and made a complaint against her to the Directorate of Education accusing her of “extremism” and as a result, she obtained a written warning.
