Intelligence Services at various security forces tightened control over airports, ports, border crossings, and neighbourhoods, after dismantling five cells that are active at the level of several states, with the task of recruiting Algerian youth, including girls, and sending them to the terrorist organization “ISIS” in Libya and Syria in the context of what is called “Jihad,” while the services to fight against cyber-crime intensified teams to track social networking sites, which is the fastest way to recruit youth in the various terrorist organizations.

Security sources told Echorouk that the border police in various airports, along the lines of the international airport, Houari Boumediene in Algiers, tightened inspection and control over the Algerians, especially youth who are aged between 22 and 40 years, and who are heading toward Tunisia and Turkey, after the flights that are linking Algeria with Turkey, and Algeria with Tunisia, become a way to enter Syria and Iraq, which is the line that is preferred by the recruitment cells.

Security services also tighten control over the various ports and border posts especially the eastern ones.

In terms of figures, border police prevented, since the beginning of the current year, more than 60 suspected people, to cross the border because they lacked the money for the purpose of tourism, and it turned out that they were youth who were targeted by the recruitment cells, to join the terrorist organization “ISIS”, as security services and the gendarmerie dismantled five cells that are active in Algiers, Boumerdes, Blida, Tipaza, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, Laghouat, Oued Souf, Oum Bouagi, Djelfa and Khenchela, that worked on trying to recruit youth to join ISIS.

Intelligence Services also focused, at the same time, on tracking the recruitment cells that are active in eastern region that are close to Tunisia and Libya, which are an important source of recruitment and mobilization, especially that ISIS is very active in the Libyan Derna city, which pledged allegiance to the organization.
