Security Services Have All Data on Shiites in Algeria, Religious Affairs' Minister Says
Algerian authorities did not record any violation of the Iranian embassy in Algeria, on the promotion of Shiism in the Algerian society, but they are closely following and communicating with the embassy, Religious Affairs’ Minister, Mohamed Issa said.
He added, in a statement to the press, on the sidelines of launching the first biometric identity card in Algiers; “We are in contact with the Iranian Embassy in Algeria, but we have not find any involvement of the embassy, even other embassies that is active in Algeria.”
Response of the Minister came after the campaign that was launched by Algerians on the social network “Facebook” to expel the Cultural Attache of the Embassy of Iran in Algeria, Amir Moussaoui, as Anwar Malek, an Algerian writer and human rights activist, who lives in France is behind this campaign, and he confirmed that Moussaoui, exceeded his diplomatic mission and coordinates secretly with Algerian Shiites.
In the meantime, the government official, Mohammed Issa, asserted that the security services have all the data, up to the minute, about Shiites in Algeria, along the lines of their names, addresses and other information, and it holds even data on advocates of Shiism in Algeria.
“We will block the way in front of anyone who wants to threaten the stability and security of Algeria .. “.
