Sellal: Algeria to launch consumption credits
Algeria’s Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, Secretary General of the Algerian Workers’ General Union, President of the National Economic and Social Council asked Chief of Enterprises Forum Reda Hamiani not to intervene in the proceedings of the tripartite meeting.
They appointed Habib Youcefi to represent them, Echorouk has learnt.
The Union’s Secretary General Sidi Said criticized Hamiani for standing by the government’s side in all its positions, saying he imports a famous French cheese brand.
Speaking about importing, Sellal announced that a committee will be set up to examine consumption credits for locally produced goods, saying the government plans to recover its industrial base.
He also said the government does not want to tighten the noose on people through its decisions but wants to keep watch on goods which enter Algeria.
“Some importers go to China to import goods which cause cancer.”
Hamiani criticized the government’s economic policy regarding the nationalization of enterprises which have already been privatized including El Hadjar complex and Michelin company.
He also expressed dissatisfaction about the Government’s decisions to tighten the noose on investors.
Hamiani was called in Friday by the national commandment of Enterprises’ Forum to give a general report about the tripartite meeting.
