Sheikh Mohamed Ali Farkous Destroys Madkhalism In Algeria
The spiritual father of the Salafist movement in Algeria, Sheikh Mohamed Ali Farkous, announced his resignation from the group of 12 and Dar al-Fadilah, which is framed by the Madkhali stream, which caused a deep rift within this group because of the great influence of Sheikh Farkous in all its decisions and steps, and the credibility that the Sheikh enjoys amid a large group of Salafis.
Echorouk sources said that Sheikh Farkous wrote his resignation and presented it after the month of Ramadan, and it was only announced on Monday, which left a large controversy in the social networks, especially that Sheikh Farkous is currently in the holy sites after the Hajj, which has strengthened, according to followers of the subject, his resignation from the House of Virtue, which issued many of the Takfiri fatwas and fought in many controversial issues.
Despite the health justification that are provided by Sheikh Farkous upon his resignation from Dar al-Fadilah, many sources that are related to it, and revealed that the alignment of the scholars after the Great Gulf crisis and the continuation of the intervention in Takfir and their entrenchment in the support of allegiance contributed to the separation of Sheikh Farkous from the G12.
In this context, the former adviser to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Adda Fellahi, confirmed that the resignation of Sheikh Ferkous came after the extremism of madkhalism in Algeria, which issued many Takfiri fatwas which most recently was the atonement of the Muslim Brotherhood and calling for their death.
“Gulf crisis and the arrest of many preachers and scholars also influenced the conviction of Sheikh Farkous, who decided to elevate himself and his reputation from the suspicious fatwas of Madkhalism, which is calculated for Sheikh Farkous, especially that the group of the 12 did not take any decision and no fatwa without reference to Sheikh Farkous, and his withdrawal from them is a serious blow to this vision by exposing its extremism before the public opinion”.
For its part, Echorouk tried to contact Sheikh Farkous, on Monday, but some parties that are close to him confirmed that he is still in the pilgrimage and will return to the homeland during the next few days.
