Snowfall: Several roads cut in Jijel
JIJEL (Algeria)- Several roads have been cut in the province of Jijel (359 km east of Algiers) due to snowfall recorded in the night of Friday to Saturday, local officials reported.
The snow that fell on mountain heights exceeding 700 metres disrupted traffic on many roads connecting some provinces, according to the sources, citing the localities of Djimla and Beni Yadjis.
Disturbances were reported along the provincial road 137-B, linking Texenna to Selma, while power has been cut in the latter for two days, said local citizens in this rural and forest commune.
Traffic is also disrupted between Beni Chouf and Beni Foughal (commune of Beni Yadjis), and between Djimla and Souk Es-Sebt.
