Sonatrach CEO: “Lower oil prices shouldn’t be a cause for worry”
This reassuring statement was made Tuesday by Mr Amine Mazouzi, the CEO of national hydrocarbons Company Sonatrach, after the last drop in the price of oil, which fell to $36 dollars in recent hours.
He explained this turn-about by the return of Iran on the world oil market and played down the seriousness of the situation in a discussion with “Echorouk” reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration of the new Tassili Airlines’ air link between Algiers and Paris, adding that the Sonatrach Group is optimistic that the best is yet to come.
For his part, the OPEC Secretary General Abdullah Al-Badri, said that the current slump in world oil prices would not last long.
