Sonelgaz Workers to Fill a Complaint to the World Confederation of Labour”
Complaint file includes a misdemeanor of “insults and verbal abuse in public”, and harming the dignity of individuals, not to mention that his statements are incompatible with the society’s values because they are broadcast via audio-visual media, Mr. Houcine Bouda, lawyer of SONELGAZ Workers’ Syndicate, and a civil party in the case against the central syndicate’s secretary general, Abdelmadjid Sidi, told Echorouk.
Lawyer Bouda added,on the sidelines of the press conference that was held by the National Independent Syndicate of Electricity and Gas Workers, on Saturday in Algiers, that the complaint against Sidi Said, enjoys a material public element, which is “insults and verbal abuse” in the press conference at the Commerce Ministry, about the consumer loan, and his statements were broadcast by audio-visual media, and this is a prejudice to the dignity of persons, and contradicts the values of society, and it is also prejudice to morality and public order.
“Independent Union of SONELGAZ Workers is exposed to several obstacles in the exercise of syndicale action by the company’s administration, in collusion with the central trade union, to return to the single trade union, despite the fact that the Constitution and the World Confederation of Labour, recognize the multiplicity of trade unions.”
In addition, the Syndicate’s Secretary, Raouf Mellal confirmed, that a complaint will be lifted to the International Federation of work, against Sidi Said, due to damaging the syndical activity, and the policy of insults and verbal abuse which is pursued by the trustees and leaders of the central trade union against activists of the independent trade unions, with providing a full file about that, and added that the worse is “insulting religion because the independent syndicate refused the interest-based consumer loan.”
