SOS Line To Be Created To Report Any Prejudice To Kids Rights

An SOS Line (Green Line) will be created at the disposal of the citizens in the coming days to report any prejudice to kids rights, Chairperson of the National Commission To protect Childhood, Meriem Cherfi, said, on Tuesday, during the school day on child protection in Algiers.

“National Body for the Childhood Protection and Promotion is preparing for the launch of a “green line” and a website at the disposal of the citizens in the next few days to report any dangers and prejudice to the kids rights”.

“Under the provisions of the Law on the Protection of the Child, that is issued on July 15, 2015, the National Commissioner for the Protection of Children receives these notifications and transferred them to the concerned authorities to take the appropriate measures”.

“This law guarantees the legal protection for the person who reports or notifies so that it exempts the natural and moral persons who provided information about the prejudice to the rights of children to the National Commissioner, and who acted in good faith from any administrative, civil or criminal responsibility, even if the investigation did not lead to any result.” – as stated in Article 18.
