Spanish government: 38 Algerian illegal immigrants arrested in Murcia

Representative of the Spanish government in Murcia, Rafael Gonzalez Tovar, announced that five children, out of 38 Algerian illegal immigrants, who arrived Friday night board of three rubber boats off the coast of Cartage.

• The spokesperson told the Spanish News Agency that all Algerian illegal immigrants came on board of five rubber boats, and the children will be deported to Algeria in the near future.

• Gonzales asserted on the importance of coordination with Algerian in order to combat the gangs that organize these journeys, explaining that young illegal immigrants give amounts of money raging between 800 to 1200 Euros to migration networks.

• The rubber boats that carried Algerian illegal immigrants, according to preliminary investigation, arrested in Murcia, started from the western shores of Algeria by virtue of proximity to the Spanish beaches.

• The second group of 12 Algerian illegal immigrants arrived last Tuesday on board of a rubber boat on the coast of “Santa Paula”, including a 28-year pregnant woman, who was immediately transferred to hospital in view of her health situation.

• The Algerian illegal immigrants spent more than 30 hours in the sea, and were taken away to the security centre of the green island.
