Spanish kidnap: Nouakchott courts acquits Algerian man
A penal court in Nouakchott Wednesday sentenced a man named Omar Sahraoui to 12 years in prison and a 5 million ounces fine for being involved in the kidnapping of Spanish nationals in Mauritania.

A second suspect named El Boukhari Oueld Al Aissaoui was sentenced to a suspended year in prison and a 10,000 ounces fine.

The court acquitted four people: El Eid Oueld Lahbous who comes from Algeria, Djomaa Arakraki, Kouria Bent Al Boukhari and Mohamed Salem Oueld Hamouda.
