Status of research support staff finalized

ALGIERS- The status of the research support staff has been finalized, announced Wednesday Pr. Hafid Aourag, Director General for Scientific Research and Technological Development (RSDT).

In accordance with this status, research centres and units will be henceforth affiliated to the civil service, Aourag told the National Radio.

As regards the brain drain from Algeria, he underlined that, on the contrary, more and more Algerian researchers are coming back to work in Algeria, after the “significant” improvement in the socio-economic conditions of the researcher and the increase in his salary.
