Justice Minister, Tayeb Louh, asserted the need to combat the phenomenon of swords that is spreading recently and significantly on the level of some areas in Algerian big cities including Constantine, Eastern Algeria.

This phenomenon became a source of concern for citizens and society, explaining that the phenomenon can not be treated in a normal way and must be controlled, so as not to worsen the situation and that, if necessary it would amend the Penal Code to deter it, because addressing the phenomenon of criminality will only be, by preparing a national penal policy that have extensions under the supervision of the local prosecutor and the competent services, taking into account the specificity of each Wilaya.
Tayeb Louh said on Tuesday, during his supervision at the inauguration ceremony of the new President of Judicial Council of Constantine, Daalache Abdehakim, at Tlemcen judicial council, that the reforms will touch the judicial proceedings, as it will be possible in the future to hear the witness in a certain case “remotely” by using modern technologies, it is not possible to stay away from using it in the justice and this will be after passing the law.
