Tayeb Zitouni: “Joint Committees Between Algeria, France To Retrieve Skulls Of Revolution Martyrs”

Contacts with the French authorities are launched to activate the work of the joint committees on the national archives and retrieving the skulls of the resistance martyrs, The Minister of the Moudjahedeen(war veterans) Minister, Tayeb Zeitouni, said.

He refuted the news that circulated about the disregard of the public authorities for the demand of the French side to retrieve the skulls of martyrs that are exposed in the Paris museum.

During his visit to the first radio station, the minister revealed that a comprehensive survey was carried out, which concluded to the census of 1273 Martyrs’ Cemeteries, 250 Martyrs’ Squares, and 1449 torture centers during the Liberation Revolution, and thousands of sites that witnessed battles with the French colonizer. 

“The census process is still continuing to be archived”.

Zeitouni also referred to the delivery of 32 historical documentaries to the Algerian Television Foundation, with the realization of two films of Colonel Lotfi and the hero Karim Belkacem, and another one that is reaching the final stages of the martyr Arbi Ben Mhidi, using the latest audiovisual techniques, not to mention the launch of a historic channel of national memory.
