Tehran Puts Algeria at the Forefront of its Foreign Priorities

Iran puts Algeria at the top of its priorities in its foreign policy, and Algeria supports Tehran in fair causes, Iranian ambassador to Algeria, Reda Ameri said.

“Algeria plays an important role in the region’s peace, especially in the Libyan and Mali files”, he added.
“Iran is a peace-loving State, and is working to provide its useful experiences to the friendly and brotherly countries, especially Algeria.”
Iranian diplomat, asserted, in a speech at a reception that was held on Tuesday in the Hilton Hotel, on the occasion of the commemoration of the Islamic Revolution: “Algeria occupies a prominent place in the priorities of Iran’s foreign policy, and this great country, which gave dearly for freedom, is greatly respected by the leadership of the Iranian people and the Islamic revolution, which was warmly welcomed in Algeria.
The Ambassador presented models of rapprochement between the two countries, and this in the presence of the Public Works’ Minister, Abdelkader Wali, as a representative of the government: “Relationships between the two countries will notice more progress, and Iran supports Algeria’s efforts for peace and stability in the Sahel, and its efforts to achieve development in Algiers. Algeria supports Iran in its fair issues and honorable positions, and we hope that this effort will include more areas of bilateral cooperation.”
Iran Ambassador, Ameri, spoke about what has been achieved in his country since the revolution, and the decrease of dependency on hydrocarbons from 95% to less than 30%, and sufficiency in grain production, and pharmaceuticals, to the limits of 69%, and exporting a large part of it, in addition to manufacturing one million cars per year, and reaching the 8th position internationally price in the field of stem cells.
Regionally, he defended the achievements of Iran in the nuclear agreements that it signed with the West, and said: “There are special circumstances, such as the blockade and sanctions that they imposed unfairly, but we have made two basic demands, the international official recognition in Iran’s success in reaching peaceful nuclear program and uranium enrichment, keeping all our nuclear facilities, and the abolition of all sanctions that were imposed after the application of the nuclear deal.”
