Terrorism: Seven terrorists eliminated by armed troops east of Algeria

Seven terrorists eliminated on Saturday, August 28, in Berkemouche, a dense forest located between Labraa Nath Irathernand Ait Yanni, Tizi Ouzou, east of Algeria, an Algerian website quoted security sources. 

• Algeria Security sources launched a large search operation at 17: 30 pm in the area and found out a terrorist group moving inside the forest, the same website reported.

• Armed troops used helicopters to tighten the noose on terrorists. The military forces were quick to open fire on the terrorist group, whose elements tried to respond but in vain.

• At 19:30 pm seven terrorists were eliminated, the same website quoted security sources. And their weapons and Kalashnikovs were retrieved by the soldiers.

• The terrorists’ dead bodies were sent to the morgue at the CHU-Mohamed in Tizi Ouzou, east of Algiers, for identification purposes.

• Combing operations are continuing, and Algerian armed troops are determined to clean this area infested by terrorist groups affiliated within GSPC also known as AQIM.
