The Federal bureau demands better performance from lackluster Algeria line-up
FAF Chairman Mohamed Raouraoua

Informed sources told Echorouk that the chairman of the Algerian Football Federation, Mohamed Raouraoua, held a meeting on Wednesday at the FAF headquarters in upper Algiers with the Algeria team coach, Rabah Saâdane and his close collaborators to discuss a set of outstanding issues related to the questionable performance of the Greens of Algeria versus the squad of Gabon in a friendly match played earlier this month at the 5th of July Olympic stadium which ended in a biting 2-1 Gabonese victory.

  • During this “emergency” encounter, Mr Raouraoua is said to have chided national coach Rabah Saâdane and his players for the paltry performance displayed versus the Gabon squad who showed better potentialities than the Greens throughout the match.
  •
  • The FAF chairman further urged Saâdane and his players to redress the imbalance and bounce back sooner than later by notably carrying the day with flying colours versus the national team of Tanzania on September 3rd as part of the qualifiers for the 2012 Africa cup of nations’ competition.
  •
  • Mr Raouraoua made it clear that the Greens should do their utmost to come out victorious in the upcoming qualifier versus Tanzania in order to live up to the expectations of all the football lovers in Algeria.
