The final, our next goal, says Algeria's goalkeeper Zemmamouche
KHARTOUM (Sudan)- Algeria's international goalkeeper Mohamed Lamine Zemmamouche, one of the key elemnets in Algerian national football team's qualifying for the semi-finals of the African Nations Championships (CHAN 2011), after it won a quarter-final game against South Africa (2-0), said the team's next objective was to reach the final.
“Our first goal was the quarterfinals, which was not an easy task with all the calculations involved in the group stage. We have met that goal, and now all the players think about the CHAN final, and why not winning the African title,” Zemmamouche told APS.
“I contributed to our team’s qualifying like all my teammates. It was not Zemmamouche alone who was behind Algeria’s qualifying for the semi-final. I
t’s a victory achieved by the whole squad: the 14 players who took part in the match, the reserve and the staff. We’re supportive of each other and it’s what makes the team’s strength.”
