The “Greens” Of Algeria Remain In 54th Slot Globally In Latest FIFA Rankings

The Algerian national football team remains in the 54th place in the world, according to the latest rankings published by the International Football Federation (FIFA) on Thursday.

As last month was devoid of international football fixtures, this was not included in the FIFA’s agenda, and this did not change by the same token the Greens’ global rating.

The Algerian national football team also maintained its 11th spot in Africa and the fourth place at the Arab level.

With regard to the opponents of the Greens of Algeria in 2018 World Cup qualifiers, Cameroon occupy the 33rd place globally, and Nigeria remains in the 40th slot in the world, while Zambia lost one place and dropped to 98th worldwide.

Concerning the opponents of the Greens of Algeria in the 2019 African Nations Cup qualifiers, the Benin national squad were ranked 83rd in the world, Togo won one notch and climbed to 106th place globally while The Gambia remained 166th in the world rankings.

As for the rivals of the “Desert Warriors” in a friendly fixture slated for the beginning of next June 2017, namely Guinea Conakry, the latter occupy the 71st position in the world and this ranking has not changed so far.

It should be noted that the upcoming Algeria-Guinea warm-up match will be preceded by about a week by Algeria’s official home African cup qualifier versus Togo.

Meanwhile, on the top of the table, Brazil is still “ruling the roost” in the world in line with the latest FIFA rankings, followed in second place by Argentina, Germany stands in third position, Chile comes in fourth place and Colombia occupies the fifth slot.
