The Legends' Cup slated for May 27th at Algiers Olympic Stadium

The 5th of July Olympic Stadium in upper Algiers will be the venue of the Legends' Cup on May 27th 2010 which will attract a host of former world football stars from several continents. 

• This dazzling event has been initiated by the “Nouvelle Ere” Agency in conjunction with the heads of Enterprises’ Forum and the “Two Rivages” firm with a view to marking the brilliant comeback of Algeria to the World cup competition.
• This big attraction will bring together here in Algiers prestigious names of football from around the world.
• The list of the invited players reflects the past successes of the Legends’ cup which will be meant as a warm tribute to South Africa and to Nelson Mandela who will the guest of honour of the upcoming World cup tournament to be hosted by the African continent for the first time in its history.
• A host of world renowned football legends are expected to take part in this Legends’ cup match in Algiers including Italian Paolo Maldini, Brazilians Romario and Jose Roberto Gama Oliviera also known as Bebeto, Alessandro Del Piero of Juventus, Portuguese Luis Figo, Check Pavel Nedved, Italian Franco Baresi, Pep Guardiola of FC Barcelona, Oliver Kahn of Bayern Munich, Eusebio of Portugal, Colombian Valderama and Argentines Ardiles and Kempes.
• Several former African football stars will also be present on May 27th at the 5th of July Olympic Stadium for this enthralling football event including Liberian George Weah, Roger Milla and Amboma from Cameroon as well as Ghanean Abedi Pelé and Moroccan Nourredine Naybet.
