This is how a fake tour agency cheated Algerian pilgrims

An investigation showed that a former Parliament member and an unaccredited tour agency stole more than 1.4 billion centimes from 47 Algerian pilgrims, Echorouk has learnt.

The suspects were jailed pending for investigation.

According to the same sources, the agency work with another fake agency based in Algiers. It cheated 27 victims. A total of 24 passports were recovered.  

A total of 25 persons were questioned in the issue. The Attorney General put two of them in jail pending for investigation. Of them, there is a former member of Parliament. Three others were put under judicial surveillance and appeared in a court in Boufarik.

The investigation was launched as 47 Algerian pilgrims were cheated by a tour agency after they had paid it 85 million centimes. Saudi authorities helped them and the Algerian religious affairs ministry started investigating.
